The story behind Bellecour

This is why we chose to name ourselves “Bellecour"—a beautiful town square.  From New Orleans to Cleveland, from Healdsburg to Savannah, from Albuquerque to communities across the United States, bellecours anchor civic life, providing a place to serve and to bring out the best for each other.

Community banks and credit unions can stand as the bellecours of local economies.  However, like a well manicured town square, maintaining a bellecour requires high standards, expertise and leadership. 

Upholding these standards is not easy, and too often goes unrecognized.  Nonetheless, these values underpin the institution’s stability, integrity, and consistency and foster exceptional service to the community.  They manifest the beauty of the bellecours.

The traditional insurance industry does not see the bellecours - just the average.  Incumbent insurance carriers see the universe of community banks and credit unions as one single risk profile.  They do not distinguish institutions with exceptional operations as better risks.  Their coverage prices reflect only the average. 

We see the bellecours and want to serve them.  We created a specialized insurance network just for these exceptional community banks and credit unions.  To save them money, to provide better service and to connect them with other leading community financial institutions.
